Ryan Brady is a speaker and advocate whose life was transformed by a near-fatal car accident he endured as a high school senior in California. On August 30, 2017, while driving himself and his younger brother to school, Ryan swerved to avoid oncoming traffic, lost control on a winding curve, and plunged 80 feet off a cliff on Paradise Drive. Although his brother escaped with minor injuries, Ryan suffered critical trauma: back, neck, arm, hand, collarbone, and knee injuries, lost consciousness, and fell into a coma with no memory of the crash or its aftermath. Today, Ryan uses his story to inspire others—particularly young drivers—to understand how fast everyday decisions can change lives. He speaks of resilience, accountability, and the importance of making safe choices behind the wheel.
My kids were not looking forward to this. They asked to be dismissed. I get it long assemblies are usually boring. However I’d looked this up when I saw information about it coming to my school and saw it looked like a good message and would be entertaining. My boys said after that it was “actually good”. One said the interactive parts were great and another said the presenter was great. Thanks for putting together a program teens find engaging. We all know when kids are engaged they learn. Kudos to you!
